Borg helps walk-off for Bemidji State after two home run day
The bats came alive Sunday afternoon for the Bemidji State University baseball program as the team totaled 21 runs and five home runs to split against Wayne State College in the BSU home opener. Senior Scott Litchy recorded three and freshman Parker Borg hit two of the Beavers’ (5-27, 3-13 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) home runs, including a grand slam and six-RBI performance by Litchy in game one against the Wildcats (13-19, 11-11 NSIC).
BSU drops NSIC semifinal to Augustana
The Bemidji State University Tennis team saw its 2018 season come to an end Sunday in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament semifinal, falling to the eventual tournament champion Augustana University, 5-0.
Women’s Golf finishes 10th at NSIC Championship
The Bemidji State University women’s golf team finished 10th at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Women’s Golf Championship Sunday afternoon after totaling a three-round score of 1041 (356-341-344, +177) at the Paradise Pointe-Outlaw Golf Course in Smithville, Mo.

Beaver Track and Field completes weekend events at Beach Invitational
The Bemidji State University women’s track and field team completed its weekend of meets Saturday in Long Beach, Calif., at the Beach Invitational. The Beavers competed in the 4x100 meter relay and 100m dash in the fourth of four different meets participated in since Friday.

Two program records broken as Beaver Track and Field opens weekend
Two Bemidji State University women’s track and field program records were broken Friday as the Beavers took part in three meets across two states. Sophomore Gena Baklund surpassed the hammer throw record at the Blue Hawk Games in Dickinson, N.D., while the 4x100-meter team of Cheri’A Adams, Kelsey Hurley, Jada Barker and Venice Stewart broke a five-year old record at the 60th annual Mt. SAC Relays held in Torrance, Calif.
Bemidji State set for NSIC quarterfinal matchup with Minnesota Duluth
The Bemidji State tennis team has extended its 2018 season into the postseason and the No. 4 seed in the NSIC Tournament and will open quarterfinal play with a match up with fifth-seeded Minnesota Duluth at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Lifetime Fitness and Tennis Center in Minnetonka, Minn.

Beaver Baseball makes minor adjustments to upcoming schedule
The official 2018 home opening weekend for the Bemidji State University baseball program has been pushed back one day in an effort to reach improved field conditions at BSU Baseball Field. BSU will host Wayne State College at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 22 and at 12 p.m. Monday, April 23 while the program also added a non-conference doubleheader at home against University of Minnesota Crookston on Thursday, May 3.
