from BSU in 1976. While working on her undergraduate degree,
Jeanne was a four year letter winner in track and field and was a
dominant force in the events she participated in, with hurdles being
her premier event. During her four years on the team, Jeanne won
seven conference titles in the hurdles, setting six records. She
also won seven state titles, with each championship setting a new
Minnesota state record in that event. She also qualified to
compete in the nationals in the 200 and 400 yard hurdles. Jeanne
was named All Conference three years and conference MVP two
years. She was team captain in 1975 and 1976 and was also named
team

hurdles. Aside from track and field, Jeanne participated and
lettered one year on the women's field hockey team. After
completing her degree, Jeanne became a teacher and standout coach at
Roseau High School. She has coached eight district and three
regional championship teams. She has

competed at the state level, one becoming a five time state track and
field champion. Jeanne has been named Coach of the Year in track

Athletics All 30th Anniversary Team in 2000. Jeanne has been
an active member of her church and served as a member of the Roseau
volunteer ambulance squad. Jeanne and her husband Robert have two
daughters, Kristi and Laura, and make their home in Roseau, Minnesota.
