BEMIDJI, Minn. -- The 33rd Annual Wells Fargo/Gordy Skaar Memorial Golf Tournament is set for Friday, June 18 at Bemidji Town and Country Club in Bemidji, Minn.  Registration materials are still being accepted for the event to benefit BSU men’s scholarship fund.
The tournament is a five-man scramble with a shotgun start for each of two flights. The morning flight will tee off at 7:30 a.m. and the afternoon flight hits the course at 12:30 p.m. A brunch will be served from 10:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. to facilitate both flights.

Following the completion of play, an awards ceremony and fish fry will be held in the clubhouse where the tournament’s top six teams, contest and door prize winners, as well as, silent auction highest bidders will be announced.

On the course, golfers will have the opportunity to participate in a number of activities highlighted by a hole-in-one contest for a 2010 car from Dondelinger GM. Participants will also be treated to complimentary beverages and brats while enjoying the majestic wooded setting of one of Northern Minnesota’s premier golfing venues.

The cost to participate in the event is $125 per player, which includes green fees, range balls, two mulligans, golf cart use, brunch buffet, tee prizes for each participant, door prizes and more.

The objective of the tournament, set by the late Gordy Skaar, is to raise funds to assist Bemidji State University men’s athletic programs. Since its inception in 1978, the event has raised more than $500,000 for BSU Athletics and the men’s scholarship fund.
