BEMIDJI, Minn. -- The Bemidji State University campus was awakened from its summer slumber Friday as residence halls opened for the 2015-16 academic year.

Student-athletes from all 15 of BSU's athletic programs were on hand to help lighten the load as classmates, new students and their families moved into the residence halls.

Orientation events began early Friday afternoon and will continue throughout the weekend, fall semester classes begin Monday morning and the 2015-16 athletic season officially gets underway at 7 p.m. Sept. 3 when the BSU soccer team hosts University of Minnesota Crookston at Chet Anderson Stadium for its season-opener.
