Mike Iseman enters his second season as an assistant coach of the Bemidji State University men's basketball team in 2019-20. Prior to coming to BSU, he served two seasons as an assistant coach at University of Jamestown in Jamestown, N.D.

Iseman helped the Beavers back to the Sanford Pentagon for the second round of the NSIC Tournament after taking down No. 1 seed Minnesota State on the road in the opening round, 66-56. The NSIC Tournament win was the first for the program since the 2012-13 season. Four Beaver student-athletes were selected to the 2018-19 Winter NSIC All-Academic Team which tied the most selected to the squad under Boschee. Junior guard Ja Morgan recorded the second-most assists in a single season with 180, falling just three shy of tying the program record. Morgan led the NSIC in assists per game and ranked fifth in assist-to-turnover ratio. Sophomore forward Derek Thompson ranked fifth in the league in field goal percentage while sophomore guard Jacob Hoffman ranked third in thre-point field goal percentage.

Iseman, a native of Archie, Mo., helped lead the Jimmies to the 2017 North Star Athletic Association regular season conference championship. Jamestown followed with a 20-win season for the first time since the 2014-15 season to finish second in the NSAA conference standings. Iseman was involved in recruiting, skill development, strength and conditioning, and opponent scouting with Jamestown.

Prior to joining the Jamestown coaching staff, Iseman spent the 2015-16 season as an assistant coach at Central College (Iowa), leading the Dutch to a conference title and a berth into the NCAA Division III National Tournament. He was also a two-time letter winner at Central College and was a team captain during his senior season in 2014-15. In 2014, Central won the conference championship and played in the NCAA DIII National Tournament.

Iseman graduated from Central College in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in business management.
