ST. PAUL, Minn. – The location of Bemidji State University baseball team’s March 29-30 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference series at Concordia University, St. Paul has been moved for a second time. The teams will now take their four-game set to Sioux Falls, S.D. to play on Augustana College’s Ronken Field. Doubleheaders each day are scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
The games were originally scheduled to be played on the CU campus, but were moved last week to Minnetonka High School’s Veterans Field, which won’t be ready for the weekend. Ronken Field has a turf infield, allowing the field to be ready for play earlier than the rest of the region due to a large amount of snowfall this winter.
The games will serve as the NSIC opener for both the Beavers (9-7) and Golden Bears (7-5).
