BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University baseball’s Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference doubleheader at Southwest Minnesota State University scheduled for Wednesday, April 30 has been pushed back to Thursday, May 1 due to rain in the forecast in Marshall, Minn. The game location has also changed, as the twin bill will be played at Ronken Field on the campus of Augustana College in Sioux Falls, S.D. The game time is yet to be determined.
The time is yet to be determined due to Augustana’s scheduled home doubleheader against St. Cloud State University Wednesday. If the teams were to push the games back a day, BSU and SMSU would be playing after AC and SCSU complete its doubleheader.
Bemidji State (19-18, 13-11 NSIC) is coming off a 1-3 road series at then-No. 22 St. Cloud State April 25-26. BSU won the series finale 3-2. Southwest Minnesota State (21-20, 12-13 NSIC) swept an NSIC road series April 25-26 at University Minnesota Crookston.
The Beavers are in eighth place in the NSIC standings, while the Mustangs sit ninth. The top eight teams at the end of the regular conference season, set to conclude this weekend, advances to the NSIC Tournament.
