Beaver Baseball season-opening games rescheduled to March

BEMIDJI, Minn. -- The season-opening games for Bemidji State University baseball against Upper Iowa University and University of Minnesota Duluth, originally scheduled for Feb. 22-23 at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, have been rescheduled to March due to a scheduling conflict.

The Beavers were scheduled to open the 2017 season Feb. 22-23 at US Bank Stadium in non-conference games against the Peacocks and Bulldogs. The doubleheader versus UIU has been rescheduled to March 8 at 9:30 p.m. and the doubleheader versus UMD has been moved back to March 23 at 12:30 p.m. Both doubleheaders will still be played at US Bank Stadium.

Tickets can be purchased during the day of the games at US Bank Stadium.

Bemidji State now open its season March 3-5 with a three-game series at William Jewell College in Liberty, Mo. The Beavers and Cardinals play the first game of the series at 1 p.m. March 3, followed noon games March 4 and 5.

Nestled in Northern Minnesota’s wooded region and located on the shore of Lake Bemidji, Bemidji State University sponsors 15 varsity athletic programs with NCAA Division I men’s and women’s hockey membership in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association, while its 13 NCAA Division II programs hold membership in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).
