Beavers, Cougars four-game series moved to Nebraska due to weather

OMAHA, Neb. -- Poor weather conditions have forced the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference opening series between Bemidji State University and University of Sioux Falls to be moved from Sioux Falls, S.D., to two locations in Nebraska. The doubleheader schedule for Saturday will now be played at Millard North High School in Omaha, Neb., while the doubleheader scheduled for Sunday will now be played in Plattsmouth, Neb.

The forecast for Sioux Falls calls for a low temperature around 27 degrees and a high around 39 degrees on Saturday with overnight snow showers from Friday to Saturday. Sunday’s forecast is projected at a low of 33 degrees and a high of 47 degrees with winds reaching around 10 miles per hour.

Saturday’s doubleheader is now scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. while Sunday’s is set for 1 p.m. Both doubleheaders will begin with seven-inning games followed by nine-inning contests.
