Early spring snow causes cancellation of BSU, SMSU three-game series

BEMIDJI, Minn. -- Bemidji State University baseball’s three-game series April 13-14 against Southwest Minnesota State University has been cancelled due to snow on the BSU Baseball Field.

The Beavers and Mustangs were originally scheduled to play a doubleheader at 1 and 3 p.m. Saturday, April 13 and single nine-inning game at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 14 at BSU Baseball Field. The series will not be rescheduled.

Bemidji State is scheduled to return to the diamond Tuesday, April 16 with a doubleheader against St. Cloud State University in Bemidji, Minn. The Beavers and Huskies will play a seven and nine-inning game beginning at 1 p.m. at BSU Baseball Field.

Nestled in Northern Minnesota’s wooded region and located on the shore of Lake Bemidji, Bemidji State University sponsors 15 varsity athletic programs with NCAA Division I men’s and women’s hockey membership in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association, while its 13 NCAA Division II programs hold membership in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).
