Earned All-NSIC Second Team... Marks finished 2012 second on the team in batting average (.337), while leading the Beavers in hits (62) and doubles (12)... His hit total ranked him fifth in the league at the end of the regular season, while his 184 at bats led the team and ranked fifth in the conference... He added 40 RBIs to rank second on the team and his 27 runs finished fourth... Playing and starting 49 games, the junior totaled 91 bases to rank second on the team and added five home runs to tie for second... He finished the season with a .495 slugging percentage, .391 on-base percentage, drew 13 walks and stole one base on his only attempt... He posted a team-best 14-game hitting streak that spanned the entire month of March (3-31), a month the Beavers went 10-6... Marks led the team with 18 multi-hit games (three games with three or more) and totaled eight multi-RBI games to sit second on the squad.   

Marks was also a regular on the bump for BSU and paced the team with a 4.08 ERA... He posted a 4-3 record in 15 appearances and seven starts with a team-best four complete games and two saves... He hurled 57.1 innings and allowed 40 runs (26 earned) on 64 hits with 43 strikeouts and 21 walks... He allowed a .270 opposing batting average... He recorded a season-high seven strikeouts on two occasions in 2012.

In the field Marks owned a .997 fielding percentage at first base... He led the team in putouts with 303, while totaling 29 assists with just one error... His 333 chances and 303 putouts each ranked fifth in the conference... Playing primarily first base and fielding his position off the mound, Marks was apart of 25 of the 34 double plays the Beavers turned on the season.

Prior to BSU: Helped lead Iowa Lakes Community College to a 25-20 season… Named all-conference… Helped lead his high school team to a 14-9 record his senior season.

Personal: Born Nov. 23, 1990... Son of Brian and Patti Marks... Majoring in environmental studies with an emphasis in chemistry... Brother, Deryk, played baseball at Augustana College (S.D.).
