BSU Football to begin fall practices Thursday at Chet Anderson Stadium

BEMIDJI, Minn. -- Bemidji State University head football coach Brent Bolte and the Beavers football team begin fall practices at 2:15 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10 at Chet Anderson Stadium. All members of the football squad report for check-in Wednesday ahead of Thursday’s season-opening practice.

The Beavers open the fall camp schedule with eight consecutive days of practice, beginning with helmets-only the first two days and adding shoulder pads the next two days. The fifth day of practice will be the start of full gear while the team will hold its first off-day Friday, Aug. 18 to help campus students with move-in day.

BSU is scheduled to practice every day with an off-day Fridays, excluding the first week of practice. The team will hold a total of 19 practices before the season-opener Thursday, Aug. 31 at Winona State University. The Beavers and Warriors begin the 2017 season at 6 p.m. inside Altra Federal Credit Union Stadium in Winona, Minn.
