Junker selected to 2019 AFCA Division II Coaches’ All-America Team

Bemidji State University football senior Michael Junker became the second Beaver defensive back in two seasons to earn a spot on the American Football Coaches Association Division II Coaches’ All-America First Team as the AFCA released the first and second teams Tuesday. Junker joins former Beaver Gunner Olszewski as AFCA All-Americans and is one of four Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference student-athletes named to the AFCA All-America First Team.


Forty-two BSU student-athletes honored by NSIC for academic success

Bemidji State University landed 31 student-athletes on the 2019 Fall Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference All-Academic Team, with 16 earning the NSIC's new All-Academic Team of Excellence distinction.


Beaver Football totals 15 All-NSIC members with eight on first team

Feldhege named to 2019 CoSIDA Academic All-District Football Team

Sophomore defensive back Gunnar Feldhege represents the Bemidji State University football team on the 2019 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Football Team for Super Region 4, which was released Thursday. Feldhege earned a spot on the academic first team while holding a 3.85 grade point average and moves on to consideration for the CoSIDA Academic Division II All-America Team.


Bemidji State closes 2019 regular season with Beaver Bash at Minot State

A combined effort of an offensive rushing attack and a stout second-half defense helped secure a 28-24 win by Bemidji State University football over Minnesota State University Moorhead to regain possession of the Battle Axe traveling trophy. Beaver Football offense explodes for over 500 yards in 38-14 win over Huskies

The Bemidji State University football team exploded on offense to send the seniors off with a 38-14 win over St. Cloud State University Saturday afternoon at Chet Anderson Stadium. Junior quarterback Emmett Enright threw for a career-high 435 yards with three touchdowns while sophomore receiver Brendan Beaulieu caught a career-high 11 receptions for 177 yards and one touchdown to move the Beavers to 6-3 overall.

Ames voted NSIC North Division Defensive Preseason Player of the Year

For the fourth consecutive season, the Bemidji State University football program is represented with a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference North Division Preseason Player of the Year as the 2019 Preseason Coaches’ Poll was released. Junior linebacker Gabe Ames was voted the 2019 NSIC North Division Defensive Preseason Player of the Year, the third straight season a Beaver was selected to the honor, while the team was voted to finish fifth overall and second in the NSIC North Division.

Darius Carey, Alex Gray, and Sheldon Tucker, Jr., join the Beavers with focus on the defensive line, outside linebackers, and cornerbacks, respectively.
