For the fourth consecutive season, the Bemidji State University football program is represented with a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference North Division Preseason Player of the Year as the 2019 Preseason Coaches’ Poll was released. Junior linebacker Gabe Ames was voted the 2019 NSIC North Division Defensive Preseason Player of the Year, the third straight season a Beaver was selected to the honor, while the team was voted to finish fifth overall and second in the NSIC North Division.
