2010 (So): Played in the first seven games of the season before suffering a season-ending injury... Lined-up mostly as a receiver and was used in the end-around or as an outlet for quarterback Derek Edholm, while also serving as a punt returner... Along with teammate Justin Lee, were the only two players in the NSIC to record a touchdown passing, rushing and receiving during the regular season... Rushed 25 times for 124 yards and one touchdown for a 5.0 yards per carry and 17.7 yards per game average... Caught four passes for 42 yards and a touchdown... Completed both his pass attempts for a total of 17 yards, which included a nine-yard touchdown... Returned seven punts for 108 yards, a 15.4 yards per return average... Totaled 274 all-purpose yards (39.1 yds/gm) to sit fifth on the team... Was a 2010 Fall Academic All-NSIC Team member.
2009 (Fr): One of the most versatile players on the BSU roster, Rongstad was among the team-leaders in passing, rushing and receiving in nine games played as an impact freshman... Was second on the team in rushing gaining 574 yards on 87 carries... His 6.6 yards per carry was tops among his teammates... Rongstad also passed for 22 yards per game, completing 16-of-28 pass attempts for 198 yards and a touchdown, while throwing just one interception... He may not have been a top receiving target, but he made the most of it when he got the opportunity. His 14.5 yards per catch was good for second on the team.
