Karson Pike begins his second season as a graduate assistant at Bemidji State, primarily working with the cornerbacks.

In his first season at BSU, Pike guided Brody Scheff to Second-Team All-NSIC and Second-Team Daktronics, Inc. Super Region #3 honors. Scheff finished third on the team in tackles with 72 (32s-40a). He was second on the team in pass break-ups with five and recovered one fumble.

Pike arrived at BSU for the 2010 season after spending the previous three seasons on the Central Lakes College (Brainerd, Minn.) staff, coaching the quarterbacks and wide receivers. During his tenure at CLC he helped lead the squad to the state championship title, a Graphic Edge Bowl berth and two championship game appearances, posting an overall record of 24-9. CLC also boasted the league’s top passing attack behind the two-time All-America Mike Beehler (2007 and 2008).

Prior to coaching at CLC, Pike was the starting quarterback for the Raiders, guiding them to the first winning season in seven years.

A 2010 graduate of St. Cloud State University, Pike earned a bachelors degree in health and physical education. Pike, originally from Golden, Colo., was a letter winner in football and basketball for the Demons at Golden High School.
