2014 (Sr): Played in all 11 games, starting ten of them on the offensive line.

2013 (Jr): Started all 11 games at right tackle.
The Beavers finished eighth in the NSIC in rushing, averaging 169.2 yards per game. The line cleared the way for the third-best running back in the league, in senior Avery Walker, All-NSIC North First Team, as he totaled 1,314 rushing yards (119.5 ypg) on 263 attempts. Walker rushed for more than 100-yards six times, while running past 150 yards on four occasions, which included a 265-yard performance at University of Minnesota Crookston Oct. 5. The mark ranks fourth on BSU’s single-game list and settled in at 12th in NCAA Division II in 2013. As a team, the Beavers finished the regular season as the least penalized team in the NSIC, which ranked sixth nationally (41-323 yards).

2012 (So): Participated in seven games on the offensive line, which included the final three of the season.
The Beavers finished seventh in the NSIC in rushing after compiling 1,879 yards and 20 touchdowns on the ground. The O-Line guided the ground game to four 200-plus yard games, which included the final three games of the season, while two players totaled four games of 100 yards or more. The line protected all-conference quarterback Lance Rongstad. He threw for 2,114 yards, 16 touchdowns and posted six 200-plus yard contests, which included the final three of the season. Rongstad was a dual run/pass threat and finished fifth in the league in total offense with 268.1 yards per game.

2011 (Fr): Didn't see any action... Served on the scout team.

2010 (RS): Sat out entire season as a redshirt.

Prior to BSU: Played three seasons on the Park Center varsity football team, starting in both his junior and senior campaigns... A captain in 2008 and 2009, Dowd earned all-state honorable mention, all-region honorable mention and all-area honorable mention awards last fall, while garnering All-Northwest Suburban Conference accolades in 2008 and 2009... Did not allow a single sack in two years as a starter... Anchored a offensive line that blocked for a 1,000-yard rusher and posted over 2,000 yards on the ground as a team... Also manned the trenches on defense...  Accumulated 36 total tackles, 12 tackles for loss and nine quarterback sacks for Park Center over the last two seasons... Was a recipient of the Pirates’ team awards for MVP, co-offensive player and its coach’s award.

Personal: The son of Rob and Patty Dowd... Majoring in criminal justice with a minor in physical education.
