Adam Riggers enters his second season as a graduate assistant coach, with his primary responsibility to oversee the wide receivers.

In 2012, Riggers helped guide Justin Lee to All-NSIC Second Team honors after the running and receiving threat led the Beavers in all-purpose yards. Three players totaled more than 300 receiving yards, while six student-athletes compiled at least 100 yards through the air.

Riggers came to Bemidji State after a season as an assistant at South Dakota School of Mines & Technology. At SDSMT he coached receivers and tight ends, while he assisted in opponent breakdown, the offensive game plan and scout team set-up for offense and special teams. Off-season duties included recruiting, academic development, strength and conditioning and daily football operations.

Prior to his stint at SDSMT, Riggers served as an intern with the football program at Boise State University. At BSU he assisted the director of football operations and recruiting coordinator with daily football and administrative tasks.

As a member of the Boise State staff, Riggers twice worked the Boise State University Football Camp, while he has also gained coaching experience through the James MacPherson QB/WR Football Camp and the Northwest Elite Football Camp.

As a player at MidAmerica Nazarene University (Kansas) he was named Most Inspirational Player by his teammates and earned NAIA National Quarterfinal Offensive Player of the Game. He was a member of Fellowship Christian Athletics and was team captain in junior college at Pima Community College.

Riggers is a 2011 graduate of MidAmerica Nazarene with a Bachelor of Arts degree in sport management/business. He is pursuing a masters degree in education at Bemidji State.

He was an all-district quarterback at Mayfield High School in Last Cruces, N.M., but graduated from Canyon Del Oro High School in Tucson, Ariz. where he participated in football and on a nationally ranked state champion baseball team.

A native of Lewiston, Idaho, Riggers resides in Bemidji with his wife Chelsea.
