2016 (Sr): Played in all 12 games for the Beaver's offensive line... The Beaver offense ranked second in total offense (523.8) and ranked first in the NSIC for scoring offense totaling 547 points and averaging 45.6 per game... Finished third in both rushing yards per game (230.2) and passing yards per game (293.7)... Third in the conference in 4th-down conversions (54.2%)... Played in the 2016 Mineral Water Bowl game where the Beavers beat Washburn 36-23, being the first team in program history to win a post-season game... Named to the 2016 NSIC All-Conference Second Team Offense.
2015 (Jr): Was named to the 2015 NSIC North Division All-Conference Second Team Offense... Played in 11 games… Bemidji State’s offense ranked seventh with 30.9 points per game and 10th with 411.2 total yards per game. The unit finished in the top 10 in first downs per game (6th, 22.3), rushing offense (7th, 190.9 per game), third-down conversions (9th, 40%) and passing offense (9th, 220.3 per game). Special teams ranked in the top 10 in kickoff returns (4th, 22.6 yards), kickoff average (5th, 46.5 yards) and field goals made (6th, 11).
2014 (So): Started all 11 games again on the offensive line to push his streak to 22 straight starts.
2013 (Fr): Started all 11 games at left tackle... The Beavers finished eighth in the NSIC in rushing, averaging 169.2 yards per game.. The line cleared the way for the third-best running back in the league, in senior Avery Walker, All-NSIC North First Team, as he totaled 1,314 rushing yards (119.5 ypg) on 263 attempts... Walker rushed for more than 100-yards six times, while running past 150 yards on four occasions, which included a 265-yard performance at University of Minnesota Crookston Oct. 5, ranking fourth on BSU’s single-game list and settled in at 12th in NCAA Division II in 2013... As a team, the Beavers finished the regular season as the least penalized team in the NSIC, which ranked sixth nationally (41-323 yards).
2012 (RS): Redshirted.
Prior to BSU: Valentine is a three year letter winner in football for Little Falls High School on the offensive line... Named All-Granite Ridge and earned the conference’s award for offensive lineman of the year his senior season... Protected the Flyer quarterback that finished third in the conference in passing yards (978 yards)... Named the team’s lineman of the year... A three-sport athlete, Valentine has earned two letters in basketball and baseball... Is an all-conference honorable mention in basketball.
Personal: Born Oct. 1, 1993... Son of Jerome and Wendy Valentine... Plans to major in physical education and health at BSU.
