Andy Allison finished his second season as an assistant on Head Coach Jeff Tesch's staff. Allison is responsible in leading Bemidji State's wide receiver corps and also helps coach the punt and kick return specialists.

In his first season at Bemidji State, the 2015 recieving corps finished top ten in the conference in receptions and receiving touchdowns under Coach Allison. The wide receivers averaged 11.8 yards per catch and 220.3 yards per game while scoring 22 touchdowns. The Beaver special teams had the third highest kickoff return average in the conference with 22.6 yards per return. Wide receiver Juwaan Richard was named First Team All-NSIC under Coach Allison while Vince Dinkel was named Second Team All-NSIC and Jordan Noskowiak was selcted as an All-NSIC Honorable Mention. The receiving corps was also featured on ESPN's SportCenter's Top Ten when Noskowiak made a circus catch in the endzone versus Winona State (9/19/16).

In his second season, Coach Allison helped to guide the second best offense in the NSIC to a 9-3 record and the programs first post season victory in the Mineral Water Bowl.  The Beavers had the third best passing attack in the conference with 293.7 yards per game and Wide Reciver Blake Holder was named to the All-NSIC North Division Second Team Offense while Vince Dinkel was named to the All-NSIC Honorable Mention Team.

A collegiate coach since 2013, Allison served on the sidelines at St.Olaf College (2013-14) and University of Wisconsin-River Falls (2014-15) prior to his arrival at BSU.

Responsible for cornerback play at UW-River Falls, his unit produced conerbacks that finished first and third in the league for passes broken up and saw the Falcons' win total increase by three in just one year. Also a defensive backs coach at St. Olaf, Allison coached a 2013 First-Team All-MIAC selection.

A graduate of the University of Minnesota, with a degree in family social science, Allison was a member of the Golden Gophers' football team from 2007-11. With experience as a wide receiver and defensive back during his collegiate career, Allison and the Gophers participated in the 2008 and 2009 Insight Bowl.

A Minnetonka, Minn. native, Allison is a member of the National Collegiate Coaches Association. He is now pursuing his MBA at Bemidji State.
