BSU Men's Basketball to Host "A Day with the Beavers" Basketball Clinic

BEMIDJI, Minn. -- Bemidji State Head Men’s Basketball Coach Patrick Smith has announced that the BSU men's basketball team will host "A Day with the Beavers" basketball clinic Saturday, Oct. 23rd.

The clinic is scheduled from 9:00 am-6:00 p.m. for boys and girls in grades 2nd-8th and will include a fundamentals clinic with instruction from the BSU coaching staff and players as wells as a number of contests and competitions including 1-on-1 and 3-on-3 tournaments. The campers will also have the chance to see the BSU basketball team practice as a part of the camp

The cost of the camp is $40 for each camper in attendance. The camp fee includes instruction by the BSU coaching staff and players, a BSU Basketball t-shirt and lunch at the University Dining Center. For more information, contact the BSU men’s basketball office and coach Smith at (218) 755-2774.

Last season, the Beavers were crowned Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference champions after breezing through the league with a 14-2 mark. BSU appeared in the NCAA Regionals for the first time in school history.

Smith, who was appointed the 18th head coach on May 6, 2004, comes to BSU from Moberly Area Community College (Mo.) where he was head men’s basketball coach and athletic director for the past three seasons
