Bemidji State set for exhibition versus Grand Force Air Force Base
Monday, January 23, 2006
BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University men's basketball team is set to host the Grand Forks Warriors of the Grand Forks Air Force Base Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the BSU Gymnasium.

The game was added to the 2005-06 schedule due to an open date after the cancellation of a contest versus Oak Hills Christian College early in the season. Although the game will count towards the total number of games BSU is allowed to play, because the Air Force Base is not a four-year collegiate institution, it will not count towards BSU's record nor will any of the statistics be applied to any players' season or career totals.

The addition of the game brings BSU's slate to a full 27 regular season games in addition to three exhibition tilts to begin the season.

The game has also been picked up for television and radio broadcast for Beaver fans in the Bemidji area. Charter Communications customers can see the game on KBSU Channel 17. Scott Williams will handle the play-by-play duties while Ben Morie adds his expert insight to the telecast. Those unable to catch the game on KBSU can listen to Josh Harvey describe the action on 89.7 FM KBSB. Both media options begin their pre-game shows minutes before tip-off.

The Beavers are 9-9 overall and sit just one game out of first place in the NSIC at 4-2 in league play. The team dives back into conference action this weekend as it hosts the University of Minnesota Crookston to wrap up its current four-game homestand. The game will follow the 6 p.m. women's game between BSU and UMC with an approximate tip-off time set for 8 p.m.
