Bemidji State basketball programs invite local youth to summer skills camp

BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University women's basketball head coach Mike Curfman has announced that the university will conduct its summer youth basketball camp June 12-16. The camp is open to girls and boys entering grades 2-12 with division breakdowns according to age.

Day camps originally slated for June 26-30 and July 24-29 have been cancelled.

A typical day of BSU basketball camp runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and includes instruction from basketball players and the BSU coaching staff in offensive skill development, perimeter/post play, and competitive 1-1, 3-3 and 5-5 league play.

Cost per camper is $125 for day campers and $250 for resident campers. Registration fees include a camp T-shirt, individual instruction and lunch each day.

This summer BSU will also be hosting its High School Summer Basketball League. League play begins June 5 with each team being guaranteed eight games and tournament play. The league is open to high school girl's or boy's teams at a cost of $400 per squad.
