Men’s basketball golf outing set for July 23

BEMIDJI, Minn.  -- The Bemidji State men’s basketball program and former student-athletes Dan Christenson and John Phillips are hosting the 2nd Annual Bemidji State Men’s Basketball Alumni and Friend’s Golf Outing on Friday, July 23 at the Blueberry Pines Golf Course in Menahga, Minn. The cost for the 2-person scramble is $100 with $50 going directly back to BSU basketball.

The registration fee covers 18 holes of golf, a cart with GPS, lunch and a gift. Many door prizes will also be available. Registration is available for singles, doubles and foursomes and the deadline is Friday, July 16th.

The 2009-10 Beavers closed the season winning five of their last six games, which included a season-long five game winning streak. BSU finished with a 12-15 overall and 8-12 NSIC record. The win totals are the best under Bowen and since 2005-06. BSU finished in 11th place in the final NSIC standings, but just a game out of a tie for ninth.
