Beavers sign Crockrell to National Letter of Intent
BEMIDJI, Minn. - Head Bemidji State men’s basketball coach Matt Bowen today announced the signing of Dermaine Crockrell (G, Mesa, Ariz.) to a National Letter of Intent to play for BSU beginning the 2011-12 season. Crockrell is the 17th player under Bowen to sign during the regular period in his five seasons at Bemidji State.

Crockrell, a junior transfer from Scottsdale Community College, joins BSU juniors James Ellisor (F, Glendale, Ariz.) and Ryan Kinnell (C, Yuma, Ariz.) as Beavers that hail from Arizona.

All signees are contingent upon admission to BSU and compliance with NCAA rules, including certification by the NCAA Eligibility Center.

“We are excited to welcome Dermaine to the program,” Bowen said. “He gives us a slashing ability that we sometimes lack and can score off the dribble, creating for himself and others. He will fit into our system of play, enhancing what we already have.”
