BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University men’s and women’s basketball programs are hosting Youth Day at the BSU Gymnasium Jan. 21 when the Beavers welcome Southwest Minnesota State University. Kids age 14 and under get into the games for free, as the women play at 4 p.m. and the men tip-off at approximately 6 p.m.
The first 200 kids will receive a team photo of the men’s basketball team and 10-15 minutes after the game against the Mustangs, kids can come down to the court for a free autograph session with the 2011-12 BSU men’s basketball team. Also, the Bemidji Bombers youth basketball league will be performing at halftime of both the women’s and men’s games.
The Beavers open the second half of a four-game homestand Jan. 20-21 as Minnesota State University, Mankato and Southwest Minnesota State University visit BSU Gymnasium. The Jan. 20 games are set for 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., while the Jan. 21 contests are slated for 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. starts.
