BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Bemidji State University men’s basketball senior James Ellisor (F, Glendale, Ariz.) has been named Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Player of the Week for his efforts Jan. 20-21. Ellisor averaged 30.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game while shooting 82.8 percent from the field, as he guided the Beavers to a 2-0 NSIC home weekend.
Ellisor tied a career-high 34 points in a 75-67 win against Minnesota State University, Mankato Jan. 20 before scoring a game-high 26 in the 70-56 victory versus Southwest Minnesota State University Jan. 21. He went 11-for-12 (91.7%) from the charity stripe and hit on his only 3-point attempt of the weekend. He played in 35.5 minutes per game and added five steals, two assists and one block.
His 13 field goals made against MSU was a career-high and is tied for second in the NSIC in 2011-12. The 91.7 percentage shooting (11-for-12) against SMSU ranks as the best field goal shooting performance in the NSIC this season.

The award is the second of the season for Ellisor, as he earned NSIC Player of the Week honors Nov. 21.
