BEMIDJI, Minn. -- The Bemidji State University men’s basketball team is set to host an alumni basketball game Saturday prior to the homecoming football game starting at 12:30 p.m. in BSU Gymnasium.
The men’s basketball team is holding the game in honor of Bemidji State homecoming as it gears up for the 2014-15 season. The game will begin around 12:30 p.m. and go up until about 2 p.m., prior to the start of the football game at 2:30 p.m.
“I thought it would be good to try and connect our past with the present,” said head coach Mike Boschee. “This is the first time having an alumni game, so I don’t know how well it will go but this could be very important for our Alumni to engage with the university again and maybe relive some great moments in their lives with old teammates.”
Bemidji State is set to get its 2014-15 campaign started Nov. 9 with an exhibition game at University of Northern Iowa. The regular season will then kick off with seven straight at home, starting with Crown College Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. from BSU Gymnasium.
