Three seniors will lead the 2016-17 Bemidji State University men’s basketball program after being selected team captains, Head Coach Mike Boschee announced today. Forwards Ben Best, Will Harvey and Shane White begin their final season with the Beavers.


Basketball programs to begin practice for 2016-17 season

The Bemidji State University men’s and women’s basketball programs will begin practice for the 2016-17 season on Saturday, Oct. 15 at BSU Gymnasium. Both programs start their respective seasons with exhibition matchups against Division I programs.


Men's Basketball to host Beaver Buddies sessions in October and November

The Bemidji State University men’s basketball program has announced the annual Beaver Buddies Fall Skill Sessions schedule for 2016. The Beaver Buddies sessions have been increased to seven dates, previously at four sessions last fall, running every Sunday from Oct. 16 through Nov. 27.

Bemidji State University men’s basketball assistant coach Ryan Montgomery has been named the head coach at Valley City State University. Montgomery joins the Vikings after serving eight seasons with the Beavers and four under head coach Mike Boschee.

Anderson, Best and White named to NABC Honors Court

Three Bemidji State University men’s basketball student-athletes were recognized for their academic success as the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced the 2015-16 NABC Honors Court today. Guard D.J. Anderson and forwards Ben Best and Shane White were three of 663 student-athletes honored for their hard work exhibited in the classroom.

Bemidji State University men’s basketball Head Coach Mike Boschee released the 2016-17 schedule today, which includes 22 conference, five non-conference and two exhibition matchups. The Beavers begin this season’s campaign Oct. 28 with an exhibition at University of Northern Iowa.


NSIC to celebrate 25th Anniversary in 2016-17

The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) is excited to announce that it will celebrate its 25th Anniversary during the 2016-17 academic year. The year-long celebration will lead up to July 1, 2017 when the league will turn 25 years old. As part of the event, the NSIC has unveiled its 25th Anniversary logo, which will be used as the league's official logo during the next 12 months.
