BEMIDJI, Minn. -- The Bemidji State University men’s basketball team released its summer camp schedule Thursday including three camps on several dates at BSU Gymnasium. The men’s basketball program will host the Beaver Buddies skill session, exposure camp and team challenge between the months of June and July.
The Beaver Buddies skill session begins the camp season with eight sessions in June and July. Grades K-8 will be welcome to join the camps June 7, 14, 21 and 28, and July 5, 12, 19, and 26. Boys and girls who attend the camps will have an opportunity to improve their basketball game with instruction from head coach Mike Boschee and assistant coaches Ryan Montgomery and Matt Majkrzak. Participants will work on a variety of essential basketball skills and drills as well as play in games. Current BSU men’s basketball players will also be on hand to spend time with the participants. The first 40 registered participants will receive a free t-shirt with a Beavers basketball.
The single day team challenge takes place June 11 and 24 at BSU Gymnasium. Varsity and junior varsity teams play a minimum of three games during the camp, allowing coaches to see their team in a variety of situations while also viewing different combinations throughout the day.
The collegiate exposure camp is a one-day camp, June 21, at BSU Gymnasium. Grade 9-12 participants who register receive instruction and evaluations from the Bemidji State coaching staff to help improve their game. The camp is designed to expose participants to the intensity and demands of collegiate basketball while meeting collegiate coaches.
