Men's Basketball to host Beaver Buddies sessions in October and November

BEMIDJI, Minn. -- The Bemidji State University men’s basketball program has announced the annual Beaver Buddies Fall Skill Sessions schedule for 2016. The Beaver Buddies sessions have been increased to seven dates, previously at four sessions last fall, running every Sunday from Oct. 16 through Nov. 27.

The sessions will run from 4:30-6 p.m. Oct. 16, 23 and 30, and Nov. 6, 13, 20 and 27 at the BSU Gymnasium. Coaches Mike Boschee, Matt Majkrzak and Blake Peterson along with current BSU basketball student-athletes, will teach a variety of essential basketball skills.

The cost for all seven sessions is $85, while flex plan options are available for any six dates for $75 or any five dates for $65. All participants will receive a t-shirt and the first 30 to register will also receive a Beavers basketball.

Bemidji State men’s basketball opens the 2016-17 season on the road with two NCAA Division I exhibition contests, first against University of Northern Iowa Oct. 28 and finishing with University of Minnesota. BSU begins regular season action Nov. 11 and 12 with games against Lindenwood University and University of Central Missouri. The Beavers will play the neutral site games at Wisconsin Dells, Wis.
