Beavers, Golden Eagles open conference play Saturday in Crookston, Minn.

The Bemidji State University men’s basketball team begins Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play Saturday, Nov. 25 with a trip to face University of Minnesota Crookston at Lysaker Gymnasium. The Beavers (3-2) and Golden Eagles (2-3) begin the 64th all-time meeting between the two programs at 4 p.m. in Crookston, Minn.


First-half separation lands Beavers record win over Wolfpack, 115-50

Bemidji State University men’s basketball separated midway through the first half Monday night to take the cross-town battle against Oak Hills Christian College, 115-50, at BSU Gymnasium. Sophomore forward Lucas Wendt helped provide a positive example on Bemidji Youth Basketball Day, leading the Beavers (3-2) with 17 points in the single-game program record win.


Green breaks out with career-high 33 points in 87-64 win over Northland

Sophomore guard Jai’Vionne Green got back to his true scoring form Saturday afternoon, tallying a career-high 33 points, as the Bemidji State University men’s basketball team downed Northland College, 87-64, at BSU Gymnasium. The Beavers (2-2) shot 67.3 percent from the field during the game and 73.1 percent in the second half while adding 36 points in the paint against the Lumberjacks (0-2).


Efficient ball movement lifts Beavers to 88-70 win over Vikings in home opener

It was efficient ball movement and a career-high 22 points from sophomore forward Lucas Wendt that helped lift Bemidji State University men’s basketball to an 88-70 win Friday night against Valley City State University at BSU Gymnasium. The Beavers improve to 1-2 on the season after dishing out 21 assists compared to nine turnovers in the home opener against the Vikings (2-4).


Bemidji State to open home schedule with three-game weekend

The Bemidji State men’s basketball team opens its home schedule with a three-game weekend Nov. 17-20. The Beavers (0-2) start the busy weekend slate at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17 against Valley City State University, and continue at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18 against Northland College and at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20 against Oak Hills Christian College.

Sophomore forward Lucas Wendt nearly reached his career high in scoring despite a 76-62 loss by Bemidji State University men’s basketball to University of Central Missouri during the conclusion of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference/Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association Classic held in Wisconsin Dells, Wis., Saturday night. Wendt finished with 19 points off the bench while three Beavers finished with double-digit scoring.

Black, Pekarek and Sorenson selected as BSU Men’s Hoops team captains

Bemidji State University men’s basketball Head Coach Mike Boschee announced seniors Sharif Black and Christian Pekarek, along with sophomore Kyle Sorenson, as the team’s captains for the 2017-18. The young group of the Bemidji State University men’s basketball program is moving up after being selected 10th overall and fifth in the North Division of the 2017-18 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Preseason Coaches’ Poll, released today. Sophomore guard Jai’Vionne Green was selected as BSU’s Player to Watch after setting a program record among true freshmen with 454 points last season.


Men's Hoops to begin practices for 2017-18 on Saturday
