BEMIDJI, Minn. -- The 2017-18 Bemidji State University men’s basketball schedule for 2017-18 was announced Tuesday by Head Coach Mike Boschee. The Beavers open the season with five non-conference games, highlighted by three consecutive home games between Nov. 17-20, before heading into Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) play Nov. 25.

For the second consecutive year, BSU will begin the season at the NSIC/MIAA Classic against Lindenwood University (Nov. 10) and University of Central Missouri (Nov. 11) at Wisconsin Dells, Wis. BSU then closes the non-conference slate with three home games at BSU Gymnasium against Valley City State University (Nov. 17), Northland College (Nov. 18) and Oak Hills Christian College (Nov. 20).

The 2017-18 NSIC schedule mirrors last season’s order of games, with the exception of two games against University of Minnesota Crookston.  Bemidji State will flip the home/road games from 2016-17, though, and begin the conference schedule at 3:00 p.m. Nov. 25 at Minnesota Crookston in Crookston, Minn. BSU will then host University of Minnesota Duluth (Dec. 1) and St. Cloud State University (Dec. 2) for its conference home-opening games. After traveling to Northern State University (Dec. 8) and Minnesota State University Moorhead (Dec. 9), BSU will finish the calendar year at home against Minnesota Crookston (Dec. 16), Upper Iowa University (Dec. 30) and Winona State University (Dec. 31).

BSU will play just two home games during the month of January against Minot State University (Jan. 19) and University of Mary (Jan. 20). Bemidji State will then play four of six games during the month of February at BSU Gymnasium against Wayne State College (Feb. 2), Augustana University (Feb. 3), MSU Moorhead (Feb. 9) and Northern State (Feb. 10). BSU finishes the regular season on the road Feb. 16-17 at U-Mary and Minot State, respectively.

The top four teams of each NSIC division will host the first round of the conference tournament on their home courts before the NSIC Tournament moves to Sioux Falls, S.D., for the quarterfinal through finals matchups.
