Junior guard Ja Morgan led the Beavers, who end their season with a 10-18 record overall, with 23 points on 10-of-17 shooting and six rebounds.

Bemidji State University men’s basketball sophomore guard Jacob Hoffman tallied 10 points in each of the first and second halves Saturday afternoon as the team fell at University of Minnesota Duluth, 74-62. Hoffman led the team with 20 points while freshman forward Cody Landwehr recorded his second straight double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.


Landwehr double-double not enough in 85-58 BSU loss at SCSU

Freshman forward Cody Landwehr recorded his second career double-double in his last three games but the effort was not enough for the Bemidji State University men’s basketball team Friday night in an 85-58 loss at St. Cloud State University. Landwehr ended the game with a team-high 18 points and 10 rebounds on 9-of-12 shooting from the field.


Beavers face road rivalry in final weekend of regular season games

The Bemidji State University men’s basketball program faces a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference rivals on the road Feb. 22-23 to wrap up the 2018-19 regular season. Season-best defensive effort lifts Beavers to 70-47 win over Marauders

A season-best defensive effort was just one area of excellence Friday night in the Bemidji State University men’s basketball team’s 70-47 win over University of Mary at BSU Gymnasium. The BSU Gymnasium was raining 3-pointers Friday night as the Bemidji State University men’s basketball program came back from a double-digit deficit in a 93-90 win over Upper Iowa University. The Beavers and Peacocks combined for 30 3-pointers while junior guard Ja Morgan and sophomore forward Derek Thompson each recorded double-doubles for BSU.

After going toe-to-toe for 45 minutes, St. Cloud State University scored the first six points of the second overtime period and would not look back gaining a 107-101 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference victory over Bemidji State University Saturday at the BSU Gymnasium.


Second half run propels UMD to victory

In a game that saw eight lead change and the score tied 10 times through 25 minutes, Minnesota Duluth used an 18-4 run over the next five minutes to open a 10-point lead, 57-47, over Bemidji State with 10 minutes to go. The Bulldogs would not look back taking the Northern Sun Intercollegiate contest 72-57 Friday at the BSU Gymnasium.

The Beavers suffer their first loss of the season despite 22 points and 11 rebounds from Thompson and 16 points from sophomore guard Jacob Hoffman.


Five Beavers score double figures in 74-69 win over Sailfish

Five Beavers reached double-digit scoring Tuesday night as Bemidji State University took a 74-69 win over Palm Beach Atlantic University in the opening game of the Jay McCormick Classic. Junior forward Logan Bader scored a career-high 21 points while junior guard Jacob McNallan recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds to move the Beavers to 3-0 on the season.


New challenge awaits Bemidji State at Jay McCormick Classic

For the first time since the 2011-12 season, the Bemidji State University men’s basketball program will be traveling outside of the region for an early-season tournament at the Jay McCormick Classic held in West Palm Beach, Fla. Pekarek ends senior season with NABC Honors Court selection

BSU earns first NABC Team Academic Excellence Award in program history

The Bemidji State University men’s basketball team earned a spot on the sixth annual National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Academic Excellence Awards, created by the NABC Committee on Academics, for the first time in program history. The Beavers are one of a select number of teams throughout the nation recognized for outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better for the 2017-18 season.


Michael Iseman selected as BSU Men’s Hoops assistant coach

Bemidji State University men’s basketball head coach Mike Boschee announced the selection of Michael Iseman to take over the top assistant coach position for the program. Iseman joins the team after serving the past two seasons at University of Jamestown in Jamestown, N.D.

The 41st Annual Gordy Skaar Memorial Golf Tournament is set for Friday, June 15 at Bemidji Town and Country Club and it’s not too late to participate. Registration materials are now being accepted for the event to benefit the Bemidji State Athletic Scholarship Fund.


Boschee names two additional transfers for 2018-19 season

Bemidji State University men’s basketball head coach Mike Boschee announced that two additional transfers will join the program beginning with the 2018-19 season. Allen Anderson from Northeast Community College in Norfolk, Neb., and Logan Longo from Lamar Community College in Lamar, Colo., will join BSU as junior guards.


Hoffman, Knutson to join Beaver Men’s Basketball beginning in Fall 2018

The Bemidji State University men’s basketball team has grown by two as a transfer and freshman guard agreed to join the program beginning in the Fall of 2018. Beavers Men’s Basketball Head Coach Mike Boschee announced the addition of transfer Jacob Hoffman from Lee University in Cleveland, Tenn., and the signing of freshman Bjorn Knutson from Byron High School in Byron, Minn.
