2010-11 (Sophomore): Rongstad averaged 12.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per game in NSIC play to rank second on the team in points and rebounds, while playing an average of 28.5 minutes per conference contest… Overall he posted 11.9 points and 4.8 rebounds… Was 91-for-103 (88.3%) performance from the free throw line that finished tied for third in the league and 19th in the nation… Scored in double-figures 12 times, five in the twenties, including 27 at St. Cloud State Jan. 14… Rongstad recorded his second-career double-double (11 points and career-high 13 rebounds) in a 101-76 road victory at Minnesota Duluth Jan. 3… Named to the Academic All-NSIC Team and NABC Honors Court.
2009-10 (Freshman): Posted 12.7 points per game, ranking second on the team…Played in 24 games, starting 18, while averaging 25.5 minutes per game...Scored in double-figures in the final 12 games of the season, including a season-high 29 Feb. 20 in an 88-86 victory against Winona State, earning him NSIC Player of the Week honors Feb. 22…Also posted 27 against Minnesota, Crookston Feb. 13….His 14.9 points per game in league games was 13th overall and tops among conference newcomers...With 4.6 rebounds per game, he ranked second on the team, fourth among league freshmen and 19th in the NSIC...His 5.0 rebounds per game in conference play was 14th overall and third among newcomers...Rongstad’s 54.4 percent shooting in conference games was 11th overall and second among the freshmen class...He averaged 29:39 minutes in league games to sit 20th, second among freshmen.
Eleva-Strum High School: Led Eleva-Strum High School to a 27-0 record his senior season, en route to a Division 4 State Championship…Averaged 18.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game as a starting guard his senior year…He was named Second Team AP All-State after his senior season and WBCA First Team All-State as a junior and senior…Named an honorable mention to the AP All-State Team his junior season, helping the team to a state runner-up finnish…Also led the football team to a Division 7 State Championship his senior year as the starting quarterback and helped the golf team to a Division 3 State Championship in his senior campaign…Was an honor roll student and a member of the National Honor Society.
