2011-12 (Junior): Started 20 of 30 games for the Beavers as a junior… Averaged 8.3 points and 3.8 rebounds per game to finish fourth on the team in both categories… Appeared in 19.5 minutes per contest… Upped his totals to 9.0 points and 3.8 rebounds per game in conference play… Shot 91-of-219 (41.6%) from the field… Posted a 36.8 percent clip from beyond the arc (28-of-76)… Recorded double-figure scoring in 12 games, which included a stretch of six contests where he totaled 78 points (13.0 ppg)… Tallied 27 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the field versus Northern State Dec. 16, all of which established or tied career-highs… Also set a career-high and 2011-12 team-high with five made treys against the Wolves (5-for-5)… Set a career mark and team season-best five steals against Concordia-St. Paul Jan. 14… Had another strong performance against Northern State Jan. 28 with a career-high two blocked shots and a season-high four assists… Scored 15 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the field and added six rebounds in the NCAA Tournament game against St. Cloud State.
2010-11 (Sophomore): Emerged as a starter in 2010-11, earning a spot in the starting five 18 times in 25 games and averaged 21.7 minutes per game… Averaged 9.7 points and 3.9 rebounds per game overall, while upping his totals to 10.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per NSIC contest… Went 79-for-191 (41.4%) from the field… Scored a career-high 19 points and added a career-high 11 rebounds against Minnesota Duluth (Jan. 3) for his first double-double as a Beaver… Also in the game established career-highs in free throws made (11), free throws attempted (16), assists (5) and minutes (33)… Recorded 13 games with at least 10 points, including eight with more than 15.
2009-10 (Freshman): Played in 24 games, starting eight...Scored in double-figures seven times, including a season-high 14 twice, both in wins…His first 14 point game came in his second in the green and white, shooting 3-of-5 from the field and 8-of-8 from the line…Averaged 6.2 points per game in 15.5 minutes per game, shooting 38.1 percent from the field.
Milton High School Career: Walters averaged 21.5 points per game during his senior campaign, which ranked him among the top 25 in scoring in the state of Wisconsin. He was a first team All-Southern Lakes performer his junior and senior seasons and was named to the Associated Press-All State Honorable Mention team at the end of his senior campaign. The 6-foot-7 forward notched 20 or more points in 17-or-21 games played during his senior season with the Red Hawks including seven straight 20-point contests. At the conclusion of his senior season he was chosen to participate in the Badger South All-Star Game where he was the Slam Dunk champion. Walters is also a member of the Milton High School golf team and has been a consistent member on the Milton High School honor roll.
