2011-12 (Junior): The junior college transfer started nine of the first 10 games for the Beavers while appearing in more than 20 minutes nine of his first 10 contests… Overall played in all 31 games with nine starts… Averaged 1.7 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 13.4 minutes per game… Had season highs going 3-of-4 from the charity stripe versus UC-Colorado Springs Nov. 12 and also had a season-best four steals… Played a season-high 34 minutes against UW-Stout Nov. 22… Set season marks for points (11), made field goals (4), made three pointers (2) and three-point attempts (3) against Minot State Nov. 25… Dished out a season-best five assists versus Michigan Tech Nov. 26… In his nine games started, Edwards averaged 4.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1. 8 assists per game and shot 40.6 percent from the field.
Pre-BSU: Edwards spent two seasons at Phoenix College in Phoenix, Ariz. prior to arriving at Bemidji State… Averaged 5.9 points, 3.4 assists, 3.1 rebounds and shot 42.5 percent from the field in his two seasons with the Bears… Helped guide PC to its fourth Region 1 championship in the past seven years and a bid to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament in 2010-11… The Bears earned the No. 8-seed in the 16-team tournament and won their first game in overtime, but fell in their next two, including a loss to national runner-up Mott Community College, to finish the season 25-10… Voted Team MVP by his teammates… Named Scholar Athlete of the Year
Chandler High School: Edwards was a 5A Boys Basketball All-State Honorable Mention his senior season at Chandler High School in Chandler, Ariz… Averaged 12.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 3.0 steals per game his senior campaign… Guided the Wolves to a 19-12 record and a trip to the post-season his final prep season… Poured in more than 10 points on 19 occasions, including the final nine games of the season… Recorded four double-doubles, including a 25-point, (tied season-high) 10 rebound game Feb. 20 versus Highland High School… Posted 7.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game his junior season… Earned two letters in basketball and was a member of the National Honor Society.
