2014-15 (Senior): Averaged 32.5 minutes a game in 24 appearances…Scored 390 points on 43.1 percent from the field (149-for-346), a 32.6 percent effort from beyond the arc (47-for-144) and a 73.8 percent mark from the free throw line (45-for-61)… Totaled 108 rebounds (4.5 rpg) and added five blocks, 16 steals, and 64 assists… Recorded a season-high 29 points versus Mayville State (Nov. 21) on 12-for-18 (66.7%) shooting from the field and 3-3 from beyond the arc… Brought down a season-high of 11 rebounds… Played a season-high 40 minutes 6 times throughout his caree, last at Minnesota Crookston (Dec. 19). 2013-14 (Junior): Honored as a Daktronics All-Central Region Second Team member… Earned NSIC Newcomer of the Year and All-NSIC First Team recognition after becoming the seventh player in BSU history to secure the league’s scoring title with 22.2 points per game… Named NSIC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week on three occasions (Jan. 13, Feb. 10, Feb. 17)… In conference games, he led the league with 175 field goals made, helping him reach 488 points, which is the third most points scored in a conference season dating back to 1953-54… Piled up 36.32 minutes per game to rank first in the league… Finished fourth in 3-pointers made with 53 (2.4 3-pointers made per game) and was also fourth in free throw percentage, shooting at an 88.5 percent clip (85-for-96)… In all games, Lutes totaled 574 points (21.3 ppg) to rank seventh on BSU’s single-season scoring chart… Shot 50.1 percent from the field on 207-of-413 shooting, which ranked him 27th in the nation in total field goals made and 46th in total field goals attempted (both league-highs)… His 21.3 points per game finished 27th in NCAA Division II… Added 3.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 0.9 steals per game and shot 38.4 percent from 3-point land and 85.3 percent from the charity stripe… Recorded an NSIC-best 15 games with 20 or more points, seven of those contests were 30-plus games, which included a 43-point performance versus University of Mary Feb. 8… The point total, which fell just one shy of tying the BSU program record, was the best performance by an NSIC player in 2013-14 and tied for 10th in the nation… He shot 17-of-24 (70.8%) from the field and 8-for-11 (72.7%) from 3-point range in the stellar performance, as his 17 field goals made tied the program highwater mark (tied for fifth nationally in 2013-14), while the 24 field goals attempted fell one shy of tying the BSU record, as did the eight 3-pointers made.

Prior to BSU: Lutes played for Clackamas Community College in the Northwest Athletics Association of Community Colleges in 2012-13… While at Clackamas, Lutes earned Southern Region First Team and all-tournament first team honors… Played in the NWACC All-Star Game… Averaged 15.0 points and 2.3 assists per game… Brought down an average of 6.3 rebounds per game and played a total of 758 minutes, ranking him second on the team for minutes played… Played on an Iowa Western Community College team in 2011-12 that went 25-8 and made an appearance in the NJCAA national tournament.

Newberg High School: Lutes was a two-sport star athlete in high school and was recruited by NCAA Division I schools in both football and basketball… Earned four varsity letters in both basketball and football and was named first team all-state in both sports… Lutes was selected to the all-conference first team and all-state first team after leading the state in scoring as a junior… Selected as State Farm Player of the Game twice in Oregon State Tournament… An Army All-American nominee.
