Bemidji State University Men’s Golf head coach Ekren Miller announced the addition of two student-athletes to the program for the 2018-19 season. Thomas Raden (Sartell, Minn./Sartell HS) and Chris Swenson (Fergus Falls, Minn./Minnesota State-Fergus Falls) signed National Letters of Intent to attend Bemidji State.
The Bemidji State University men’s golf team wrapped up the fall season by finishing 11th of 20 teams at the Holiday Inn Express Classic hosted by Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Mo.
Bemidji State University senior golfer Samuel Otto tied for first individually to lead the BSU men’s golf team to a second place finish at the St. Cloud State Husky Classic, Monday. The Beavers finished just two strokes behind first-place finisher, University of Manitoba, with a team score of 593.
Freshman Ian Mackenzie-Olson continued his excellent play during the fall season by tying for fifth at the JR Watkins Invitational in Lake City, Minn., with a one-over par 145 (72-73). The Beavers finished in the top 10 as a team placing 10th out of 21 teams that competed at the two-round tournament.
For the second-consecutive tournament, the Bemidji State University Men’s Golf team was led by freshman Ian Mackenzie Olson, this time to a 16th place finish at the Northeastern Oklahoma Invitational in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
The Bemidji State University men’s golf team continues its fall season this week by traveling to Tahlequah, Okla., to compete at the Northeastern Oklahoma Invitational. The two-day tournament will be held at the par-71, 6,326 yard Muskogee Country Club, September 18-19.
