FINDLAY, Ohio – Bemidji State University freshman Ian Mackenzie-Olson fired an even-par 72 on the final day of the NCAA Central/Midwest Super Regional to tie for 51st individually. Mackenzie-Olson finished the three-day tournament by carding 224 (+8, 77-75-72) at the Findlay Country Club in Findlay, Ohio.

Mackenzie-Olson is the first member of the BSU men’s golf team to advance to the NCAA Super Regionals since the entire team qualified in 2012.
The freshman from Wayzata, Minn., began the tournament by shooting a five-over par 77 but followed with rounds of 75 and 72 to jump up 34 spots on the last day.
University of Indianapolis took home the team title and advances to the NCAA Championships May 21-25 with a team score of 864 (287-289-288) while Tiffin University (281-294-293, 868) and University of Missouri-St. Louis (290-290-292, 872) placed second and third, respectively, while Southeastern Oklahoma State University (300-283-290, 873) and Arkansas Tech University (298-286-289, 873) all advance to the championships
Grand Valley State University’s Alex Scott took home the individual title after firing an eight-under 208 (72-68-68) and advances to the NCAA Championships as an individual while Central Missouri University’s Sam Parrott also advances to the championship after tying for third with a three-under 213 (73-71-69).
