BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University men’s golf team continues its fall season this week by traveling to Tahlequah, Okla., to compete at the Northeastern Oklahoma Invitational. The two-day tournament will be held at the par-71, 6,326 yard Muskogee Country Club, September 18-19.
Fresh off their first place finish at the BSU Invite to open the season, BSU looks to carry that momentum to Tahlequah. BSU was led by freshman Ian Mackenzie-Olson who took home the individual title after shooting a five-under par, 139. Mackenzie-Olson was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Golfer of the Week after tying for fourth at the Cobber Invite as well.
Mackenzie Olson leads the team with a 72.5 strokes per-round average followed by sophomore Matthew Gregg (73.8), Samuel Otto (75.3), Tanner Sperling (75.8) and Cody Cook (76.5).
