TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – For the second-consecutive tournament, the Bemidji State University Men’s Golf team was led by freshman Ian Mackenzie Olson, this time to a 16th place finish at the Northeastern Oklahoma Invitational in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

The Beavers finished 16th out of 17 teams in a tournament that feature some of the most successful division II men’s golf programs. BSU shot a 47-over par 899 over the two-day, three-round tournament while tournament champion, University of Central Oklahoma, carded a team score of four-under, 848.
Mackenzie Olson paced the Beavers by carding eight-over par, 221 (74-75-72) while sophomore Matthew Gregg followed just two strokes back at ten-over par (73-73-77). Tanner Sperling (75-78-85), Brandon Nelson (78-77-74) and Samuel Otto (76-80-78) all competed for the Beavers while Brenna Hockman (77-74-76) competed as an individual for BSU.
The Beavers will return to action September 25-26 by competing at the Watkins Northern Regional hosted by Winona State University in Lake City, Minn.
