LAKE CITY, Minn. – The Bemidji State University men’s golf team finished ninth of 15 teams at the J.R. Watkins Invitational after carding a team score of 611 (309-302). Sophomore Ben Corbid led the Beavers by tying for 27th individually after shooting 150 (75-75).
Host school Winona State University took home the team title after finishing with a team score of 568 (278-290) while Washburn University placed second with a score of 573 (287-286).
Freshman Seth Schricker followed Corbid and tied for 33rd individually after shooting 152 (77-75) while Tanner Sperling (79-75=154), Chris Swenson (78-77=155) and Brandon Nelson (84-80=164) round out the Beavers’ top five. Competing as an individual, senior Will Czeh tied for ninth individually after carding 145 (74-71) while Aaron Schnathorst (84-75=159) and Alex Iverson (87-86=173) each competed as individuals.
The Beavers return home to host the BSU Invite September 9-10 at the Bemidji Town and Country Club.
