BSU is one of 80 teams and 32 individuals across the country in postseason play this spring. Each of the four super regionals combine two regions, based on geographical location, to make up the 20-team, eight-individual super regional. The Central/West Regional will be hosted by California State University, San Bernardino. The Beavers, which head into the super regional ranked third in the most recent Central Region rankings, along with Minnesota State University and Concordia University-St. Paul, represent the NSIC. In addition, Brady Strangstalien of Winona State University and Wayne State College’s Adam Fields qualified for the event as an individuals. The top five teams and the top two individuals not a member of an advancing team from each regional (regardless of region) will advance to the finals May 18-21 at The Sagamore Club in Noblesville, Ind. The finals will be hosted by the Indiana Sports Corporation, the University of Indianapolis, the Great Lakes Valley Conference and the Hamilton County Sports Authority. Sonoma State University defeated California State University, San Bernardino in an exciting two-team playoff to win the 2009 NCAA Division II Men’s Golf Championships at Loomis Trail Golf Club in Blaine, Wash. It was Sonoma State’s first men’s golf national championship. Highlights of the NCAA Division II Men’s Golf Championships will be shown on CBS at 2 p.m. Eastern time, Sunday, June 20.
