Bemidji State University seniors Casey Hill (Virginia, Minn.) and Danny Menton (Hutchinson, Minn.) have been named to the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) 2011-12 All-Conference Men’s Golf Team.

Led by senior Danny Menton, the Bemidji State men’s golf team battled wind and a brief lightening delay Wednesday and capped its appearance in the 2012 NCAA Division II Central/West Super Regional finishing 13th at 46-over-par. Menton tied for 12th individually finishing the event as one of five players at two-over-par.

With 36 holes of 2012 NCAA Division II Central/West Super Regional in the books, the Bemidji State University men’s golf team sits ninth among the field at 21-over-par (299-298--597). Danny Menton (Sr., Hutchinson, Minn.) carded a one-under-par (71) on day to and sits tied for ninth individually at -2 (71-71--142).

The Bemidji State University men’s golf team opened the 2012 NCAA Division II Central/West Super Regional with an 11-over-par 299 to sit 11th Monday. The 54-hole event is being held at the par-72, 7,132-yard Golf Course at Wigwam Resort in Litchfield Park, Ariz. Danny Menton (Sr., Hutchinson, Minn.) carded a 71 (-1) to sit 15th individually.

May 7-9 the Beavers are headed to Litchfield Park, Ariz. to compete in the NCAA Division II Central/West Super Regional.

Junior Andrew Ellefsen (Hugo, Minn.) turned in a two-over-par 74 today to finish third individually, with a 80-74--154 (+10), and lead the Bemidji State University men's golf team to a one-stoke victory over Northern State University in the 2011 BSU Invitational at the Bemidji Town and Country Club. BSU completed the 36-hole event with a 631 (+55).

The Bemidji State men's golf team split to participate in two events Sunday and Monday and remains in contention to claim team titles in both after the first day of competition. The Beavers’ top five golfers traveled to Hudson Wis. to participate in the NSIC Fall Preview at Troy Burne Golf Course and share the lead with Concordia University-St. Paul, while the remainder of the Bemidji State squad stayed home to host the BSU Invitational and sits just two strokes off the lead after 18 holes at Bemidji Town and Country Club.

The BSU men's golf team has a busy weekend ahead of it. The team is actually double-booked and will split to participate in two different events, simultaneously, separated by nearly 250 miles. The Beavers are set to host the BSU Invitational at the Bemidji Town and Country Club, while five players will make the trip to Troy Burne Golf Course in Hudson, Wis. to complete in the NSIC Fall Preview. The spotlight turns to the Bemidji State University softball and men’s golf programs for this week’s Beaver Pride Athlete of the Week selections. Sophomore pitcher Courtney Anderson (Virginia, Minn.) earned the organization’s female athlete of the week award, while Chris Curb (Fr., Bemidji, Minn.), of the BSU men’s golf team, has been selected for the male honor after outstanding athletic accomplishments during the week of April 12-18.

The Bemidji State University men’s golf team recorded a 293 (+5) today to hold onto the team lead and claim the 36-hole 2010 Winona State University Invitational championship. Chris Curb (Bemidji, Minn.) a freshman at BSU, posted a two-day total of 73-69--142 (E) to garner a share of medallist honors at the par-71, 6,751-yard Golf Club At Cedar Creek in Onalaska, Wis.

Sophomore Casey Hill (Virginia, Minn.) paced the Bemidji State University men’s golf team at the St. John’s Triangular Wednesday. The Beavers posted 300 (+12) and despite trailing Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) foe and low team St. Cloud State University (298; +10) by just two strokes, BSU finished third.

For the third consecutive day the Bemidji State University men's golf team brought the low round in to The Jewel Golf Club clubhouse, but the Beavers' 286 (+2) on day five of the 2010 NSIC Championships was not enough as Minnesota State University held off the BSU charge to take the team title by seven strokes.

The Bemidji State men's golf team fired a 288 (+4) in round four of the 2009-10 NSIC Championships today at the par-71, 6,539-yard Jewel Golf Club in Lake City, Minn., coming within nine strokes of the lead and Minnesota Sate with just 18 holes to go. BSU freshman Chris Curb (Bemidji, Minn.) tied for medallist honors after 72 holes.

Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Commissioner Butch Raymond today announced that Bemidji State University’s Josh Dale (Sr., Cross Lake, Minn.), Josh Silvernagel (Sr., Bismarck, N.D.) and Farrah Steinke (Sr., Bismarck, N.D.) have been selected as recipients of the inaugural NSIC Myles Brand All-Academic with Distinction Award.
