Beavers preview final road series of 2014-15

BEMIDJI, Minn. -- Bemidji State University Head Coach Tom Serratore, freshman Kyle Bauman and sophomore Nate Arentz preview the Beavers' upcoming WCHA road series at Ferris State, Tuesday as the team's weekly press conference.

The Beavers embark on their final road series of the 2014-15 regular season with their trip to Big Rapids, Mich. this weekend.

Ferris State has been a hard location for BSU to play in recent years. The Beavers are 5-10-0 dating back to the first meeting with the Bulldogs, Nov. 12, 1999, which includes a 2-6-0 mark versus FSU in Big Rapids, Mich.

The Beavers open the series seeking their first win in Big Rapids since a 4-3 victory Nov. 19, 2005 and have been outscored 4.73-2.46 in the series, including a 5.25-2.75 differential in Big Rapids.

Markus Gerbrandt and Ruslan Pedan open the series with the most career success versus FSU. In five career meetings with the Bulldogs, Gerbrandt has totaled five points, which includes four goals (2PPG and 1GWG). Pedan has a goal and four assists in five games versus FSU.

The series will get underway at 6:07 p.m. CST Friday with a 6:07 p.m. opening face-off set for Saturday's series finale. Both games will be played at Ewigleben Ice Arena
