Bemidji State men prepare for exhibition to open season

BEMIDJI, Minn. -- Bemidji State Head Men's Hockey Coach Tom Serratore unofficially kicked off the 2015-16 season Tuesday by previewing the first week of practice and the team's exhibition game versus University of Manitoba for the media.

The Beavers host the Bisons at 1:37 p.m. Sunday at Sanford Center to kick off the team's 19-game home schedule. Admission is just $10 for adults, while youth and BSU students are free.

Bemidji State looks to build upon a solid finish to the 2014-15 season. The Beavers closed the season by going 13-7-5 over its last 25 games to gram the fourth and final home playoff spot for the first time since joining the Western Collegiate Hockey Association prior to the 2010-11 season. BSU finished with a 16-17-5 overall record, while it 12-11-5 in league play.
