Winter reiterates importance of playing at home as BSU hosts UAA

BEMIDJI, Minn. -- The Bemidji State University men's hockey team will host the University of Alaska-Anchorage this weekend in a pair of Western Collegiate Hockey Association contests. Assistant Coach Travis Winter met with the media Tuesday to preview the Beavers' upcoming series with the Seawolves and to talk about the importance of earning points at home. on the heels of three straight ties.

The Beavers have traditionally played versus the Seawolves and enter the series owning a 12-2-4 record versus UAA since the series got its start Nov. 12, 2010 and holds a 7-1-2 advantage in games played at Sanford Center.

Opening face off each night is set for 7:07 p.m. at Sanford Center.
