BEMIDJI, Minn. -- Bemidji State Head Coach Tom Serratore and sophomore forwards Aaron Miller and Ethan Somoza looked back over the Beavers' recent road trip to Air Force and Bowling Green as well as ahead to the team's upcoming Western Collegiate Hockey Association series with Alaska Tuesday.

The Beavers (9-10-3; 7-6-1-0 WCHA) are back at Sanford Center this weekend for the first time since Dec. 14 when they host the University of Alaska (4-14-2; 4-9-1-1 WCHA) in a two-game WCHA series. The teams open the series with a 7:07 p.m. opening face off Friday before dropping the puck at 5:07 p.m. Saturday.
The Beavers, who are returning from a road trip during which they went 1-2-1 at the Air Force Academy and Bowling Green State University, are sixth in the league standings. They look to make a move back into contention to host the first round of the WCHA Playoffs this weekend. Bemidji State has just one loss in their last nine meetings with the Nanooks (6-1-2).
