The two-time Academic All-College Hockey America selection has recorded seven assists and a +4 plus/minus rating in 24 games this season, for the a 22-8-2 BSU team that has been ranked among the nation’s top 15 teams for a school-record 20 weeks. In all, six former BSU players have gone on to log time in the NHL. The list includes: Jim McElmury (Minnesota/Kansas City/Colorado 1972-78), Dale Smedsmo (Toronto 1973-73), Gary Sargent (Los Angeles/Minnesota 1975-83), Joel Otto (Calgary/Philadelphia 1984-98), Murray (Columbus 2008-present) and Matt Climie (2009). Peluso and the Beavers wrap up the 2009-10 regular-season with a league series at University of Alabama-Huntsville this weekend. The two-game set is slated to begin at 5:30 p.m. Friday evening and will conclude with a 3 p.m. matinee Saturday. Both games will be played at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Ala. --bsu-- ![]() |
