Skated in 14 games as a freshman at Bemidji State... Finished the season with a goal and an assist... Made his collegiate debut in the Beavers’ 5-3 victory at then-No. 1 Miami (10/7/11)... Registered his first point as a member of the BSU hockey team with an assist on the power-play in his eighth game, a 5-0 victory over Alabama-Huntsville (12/17/11)... Made his first collegiate goal count, netting the game-winning goal in BSU’s 4-2 victory over No. 10 Colorado College (2/10/12)... Piled up a career-high three shots on goal versus the Tigers (2/10/12)... Made his final appearance of 2011-12 when BSU hosted Wisconsin (2/24/12)... Bemidji State was a perfect 2-0-0 when Tosunian recorded a point in 2011-12... Finished the season as one of five players with a positive plus/minus rating (+4).

Prior to BSU
Tyler Tosunian began his collegiate career at BSU after a three-year stint with the Pembroke Lumber Kings of the  Canadian Junion Hockey League (CJHL)...  While in Pembroke, Tosunian averaged 1.53 points per game potting 93 goals, while assisting on 198 for 291 points in 190 games...  He capped his CJHL career with a team-leading 36 goals and a league-leading 81 assists to finish second in the 2010-11 CJHL scoring race... Posted 19 goals and 43 assists on the power play... Scored in 53 games for the Lumber Kings in 2010-11 leading them to a Central Hockey League Tier 1 Divisional title and a 51-9-0-2 overall record... Posted 38 multi-point games...  Assembled a streak of 21 consecutive games with at least one point, stretching from  Sept. 19, 2010 to Nov. 14, 2010, during which he totalled 12 goals and 33 assists...  Recorded a season-high six points  (3g-3a) in a 7-3 victory versus Kanata (1/30/11)... The hat trick was one of two on the season for the Whittier, Calif. native... Is just the fourth player hailing from California to wear the green and white... He follows Mark Masterson (1978-82/San Mateo), Brandon Marino (2005-09/Riverside) and Orlando Alamano (2004-09/Fresno)... Joins Aaron McLeod (Ottawa) as the only former CJHL players  on the 2012-13 roster.
